Why we started
Caught off guard by perimenopause and surprised by our own lack of knowledge about it, we co-created Pausology to fill in the gaps of our current healthcare system. As trusted friends and experienced healthcare providers we recognized an unmet need for an evidence-based, comprehensive approach to care during the perimenopausal transition and beyond.
Under our nation’s current model of care, most providers do not have the time or expertise to meet this need. This leads many people to look for information and solutions elsewhere. We believe that what we offer at Pausology should be provided and covered by our healthcare system. Our ultimate goal is to integrate Pausology’s course into established medical settings, including community health centers, with the aim of making these services as accessible as possible.
Our hope is that with needed education, guidance, and support, everyone will be able to experience this time in their lives feeling more informed and prepared for whatever’s happening now and what lies ahead.
Gratitude
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring Pausology to life.
Thank you to our family and friends for your love and support.
Thank you to all of the medical professionals, educators, creatives, and technology experts for sharing your wisdom, creativity, and expertise.
Thank you to our patients and all of the people experiencing perimenopause and menopause who took our original workshops, completed our surveys, and engaged in conversation with us. This is a reflection of what you asked for — our marker of success is that we meet your needs.
